I recently started using Forex Future Options and am using Interactive Brokers as the platform. The Options bought on Globex have pathetic liquidity though and in fact the bid and the ask is often not available (even for the at the money options for the front month). Does Globex not trade 24 hours? Is there only a specific time when the bid/ask is available and trades can be executed? If so, are there better platform to do the same - trade size being small - around 1mn notional.
It's not about the platform... These options are simply not liquid. Most dealing in FX options happens through OTC, as I am sure you know already.
Im not sure why you are complaining about the lack of liquidity..it sounds like the market making oppotunitiy of a lifetime...
