The EU has 118 million more people in a lot less space than the US which makes the failure of Trump even worse.
Donnie mad: https://www.cnbc.com/2020/06/24/us-...n-tariffs-on-france-germany-spain-the-uk.html The U.S. is considering $3.1 billion in new tariffs on products from France, Germany, Spain and the UK The goods in consideration include olives, coffee, chocolate, beer, gin, some trucks and machinery. The potential enforcement of the new tariffs is open to public comment hrough July 26.
Chinese are having huge layoffs as their economy is tied to exports, 80% of it. Without the US and Europe ordering Chinese goods, the Chinese do not have jobs. Orders from the US and Europe are down. A good number of them make just $3 a day and they are perfectly, happy with it. Without that, they really have nothing. China better hold their end up and buy those farm goods. If not, tariffs will be reimposed on Chinese goods and then, it only gets worse for them.
