Of course many mistakes contributed to their problems, the JPM deal was just the beginning. And the problem there was they paid a lot for those Brownco customers who just got up and walked out the door.
Call Spread on ETFC for next Jan. You guys figure out your upside target. Enough said. Covered call write till then or Iron Condor every month.
Hey Fencer....the stock had a high of 1.88 on the day you said you sold out at 2.41......your story smells fishier then then stock traders girlfriend:eek:
So what is the deal fencerd4....Your credibility is lacking here ....you say you made 94$ on 10500 shares of ETFC......you said you sold them on earnings day for 2.41.....the only problem was it never traded that high........so how did you profit......it opened at 1.77 with a high of 1.88.....so lets say you sold at high that day....you would have losses of $5460....assuming your entry price was 2.4.....which i assume because you claim You made $94 by selling at 2.41
WTH are you guys talking about? The stock's range on 4/27 was $2.35-2.49. On 4/28, the day he sold, ETFC ranged from $2.3-2.58. Plausible as the OP's story may be, this thread is basically a waste of time, imho.
BELLMAN.....Please re-read the thread.......he bought on the 27th......but sold on the 29th....he says so himself the range when he bought was 2.35 to 2.49....and the day he said he sold it 4-29....the range was 1.63 to 1.88....... You come up with your own conclusions. SHORT3R EDIT:Or the time stamps are really MESSED UP. Which would not surprise me.
Etrade has been acting well lately.... i am thinking about piecing a few shares together all the way threw 2 bucks... who knows it might be one those stocks thats trading 12 bucks in a few years.. I dont think that they had any sup-prime problems but its a long long shot
