Does anyone think that ETG would be willing to give a salary, if, they clearly wanted me and it was small and short-term? (exp: 1500 a month for 6 months) Just hoping to get some advice from current and past employees. How does it compare to: FNY securities Trader Assistant @ MS Worldco Trade Assintant @ Botta Thx all
I was offered a position with them and it was made clear that there is no salary. They also made it clear that I should have either enough saved up to live on for at least a year or have other forms of income, i.e. working spouse, savings, part-time job. Salaried prop positions have almost become a thing of the past. From what I understand, firms that still offer salaries have profit splits that are either 50% or less to the trader. I wish you luck in your search.
assuming MS is morgan, go for it. you might be treated like dirt but it could be a great long term opportunity. Short term greed is a good way of killing long term opportunity.
