I spent less than $20 lol. Imagine being Asa Hutchinson right now. He said he went all-in for Iowa. For those watching the coverage, more people are probably saying As-uh who than know who he is.
I don’t plan to vote this year. Mostly as a protest to the Electoral College. That could change if abortion is on the ballot, but in that case I won’t vote for either. FL is no longer a swing state and is going to Trump. It would only go to Biden if it were a landslide which looks unlikely (though we will see what a conviction does if it happens). I would only vote for Biden if I lived in NC, GA, PA, MI, WI, AZ, or NV. Maybe if there was a competitive Senate race like in MT or OH I would care to vote for Senate. Otherwise, it’s basically pointless for the presidential election. I doubt there’s any competitive Senate races outside of the states I just mentioned as well. So that leaves 41 without much to ride on at the federal level. Maybe you live in a swing congressional district though.
It’s hard to see how either Haley or DeSantis have a path at this point. I never felt Haley did, because she could never win the base. If Haley dropped out a much larger percentage of support would go to DeSantis. Some independents might stay home, because they don’t like either. However, if DeSantis dropped out I believe the majority of his support would actually go to Trump and he would therefore expand his margin over Haley.
It wasn't that long ago Obama won both FL and Ohio twice, with the right candidate Dems might be able to pull it off again. They're a lot of blacks and progressive in FL and OH that would come out and vote for an Obama but not a Biden or Hillary. Sharrod Brown who is acceptable to many progs keeps winning in OH and is currently leading in the polls. They're progressives that come out and vote for him but wont do so for a Hillary,Biden or Tim Ryan.Brown or Bernie would beat Trump or any republican,Biden wont.
