    Hi Fast_Trader,

enclosed is a chart of trading performance for a short-term trading system (trade duration 1-3 days), trading real-time the dax, stxe, es and nq (nq missing in chart) since 1998. please note that the slippages for the system vary widely (4 ticks dax, 2 ticks es and 1 tick stxe).

Even so, Dax still is superior, followed by SP and a nil-performance Stxe. A problem for the Stxe still remains that many cash-markets close at 5:30 pm CET but the future continuos trading until 8pm...

    Good trading, Oliver

  8. 3 point stops in Dax? Well, in 9 times out of 10 you will be stopped out.

  9. OK, well tried out the Euros this AM. Paper traded the Dax and made around 20 pts while exiting early on all the trades. Then made a real trade on ESTX50 just for testing my IB acct to make sure it was working with Eurex...got out with a quick 1 pt since this was just a test.

So far, I like it. But the volume on Dax is pretty low. ESTX50 is better and I see 100+ lots going off quite frequently.

great thread, and very informative. i have been following the es, and have heard positive things about the dax. could someone please provide me with the basic info on the foreign exchanges? like the time they trade (est) , there tick size, the margin required to trade, and the value of a point. love the thread, and the charts that have been provided so far.
