eSignal's $50 Level II Surcharge

Discussion in 'Trading Software' started by deadreader, Sep 26, 2003.

  1. try www.barchart.com the globex real time is for 45 USD
(Barchart E-Mini is designed specifically for the E-Mini trader. Priced at $45 per month, which includes the Globex $16 per month exchange fee, the E-Mini service provides realtime streaming price quotes and charts for the CME E-Mini products and CBOT Mini-Sized Dow contract. )

  2. Thanks very much Easyguru, I checked out barcharts but it won't work with my setup on Wealth Lab. I've checked several other data providers already but I need intraday tick volume for the SP Futures and Esignal is the only one I've found that will work so far.

I've read that 90% of daytraders aren't making money. Considering the prices charged I'm sure most of the data providers are making money. Maybe I should give up on trading and just take all the money I have and go long on Interactive Data Corp, they own Esignal.

  3. "MARKET DEPTH (eSignal requires a monthly surcharge of $50 per month for monthly subscribers and $20 per month for prepay subscriptions in addition to exchange fees for one or all Market Depth services.)"

Why does eSignal charge $50 extra on a product that costs $9 (Level II) and now totalview only costs $14!

No, it is dropping to $20/month for month-to-month too, that's my understanding at least. It was previously $50/month for month-to-month.

Is your region fee going away ? Nothing about that on your website..*hmm*...I am currently a subscriber of the futures package..CME+Eurex but I would like to add Stockholmsborsen..(cost 5 USD) what is the minimum tick ? one minute ?
Will I receive OMX futures if I subscribe ?
Is it possible for you to post a intraday chart here ?

I have tried the World indices package one month..that is nothing to recommend..even if the cost is "only" 10 USD :( I asked a person at Signal if I would get Swedish data..Yes, of course he said...sure..AFGX one day close..with several days missing :)

Another question: What happened 25/9-03 at Eurex..no data between 18:02-18:42 lokal European time

Maybe its cheaper..but I am happy with Signal (for now)

I bought OnDemand Server from http://www.traders-soft.com/ so I can receive data direct into TS2000i

    Works perfectly :)

  9. $20/month for month-to-month from the previous $50/month for month-to-month?

If so, there's no mention of this on eSignal's site ... can someone from eSignal confirm this?

We have two pending pricing changes:

    1. Reduction of Market depth fee from $50/mo to $20/mo.
    2. Elimination of the "region fee". ($25 fee for taking data from 2 or more regions -- Europe, Asia/Pacific, North America).

Both changes go into effect 10/1/2003 (existing customer's will see the reduction with their October billing).

    Thanks.
