Is there a way to compare volume with a the same time period from the previous day.

Yes. A formula to do this was posted to the eSignal group a while ago.

I was patiently waiting for a setup to develop today and when it got close i looked over at trading platform to see that qcharts was lagging behind and my plan had already passed me by. This has happened before, so I tried esignal today and i totally agree with you. I've used esignal before and had some good layouts, but they took time to put together. After using qcharts i know how easy it should be. Atleast they give you a month to try and figure it out. I really like the hotkey swithing between layouts that qchart offers, and I dont think esignal has that.

    Is this for real?

I was thinking of giving E-signal a try, but if it lags IB's quote by a 1/2+, that would be disastrous as IB's quote aren't even RT, they are snapshots of RT.

    Back to the drawing board.

Different people will see different results depending on internet delay (which can be huge in some cases). In fact, I have seen differneces of over a second on some feeds by just switching ISP's. This and backbone outages is one reason I recommend traders keep two ISP's which each sit on different internet backbones (better if they are both high speed - DSL/cable).

Up until recently I ran three quote packages side-by-side. eSignal usually was a bit faster than Quote.com and kept up with my brokers charts. I have since dropped quote.com and added multiple eSignal feeds.

Is there a way to chart the bid or ask in the new Advanced Chart? Would be beneficial for currency futures.

    Thanks,
    Jay

  9. We're working on getting out a pre-beta in the next few days. It will have tick charts. This includes raw ticks, n-trades/bar, and n-seconds per bar.

eg: 20T is 20 ticks/trades per bar, 20s is 20 seconds per bar, T is plain old raw tick. I'm talking about the "interval" that you would enter.

I'm attaching a few pictures so you get a preview. Attached to this is a raw tick chart. The red line is the bid, green ask, black trades. There are dots to denote the trades. The lines can be drawn as square waves or straight lines between dots. Also, you can turn on/off the bid/ask/trade lines as well as the dots.
