  1. It seem that the latest release of IB API support Direct Routing. Does eSignal plan to add it quickly in the release 7.2?

  3. The last Friday, IB users have received this email:

BTW, it will be greatly appreciate to add IOC at the list of GTC and DAY for time in force. The API support it since sometime as you can read on this thread:

  4. Can someone explain the logic of the additional charge for direct API routing from IB? I'd assume this skips IB's SMART routing and takes you right to the ECN/MM??

I'm not a computer guy, so I'm just wondering 1)if that is the purpose of the API, and 2)why you'd want to skip SMART...

So say I'm trading a naz, and I see INCA showing an offer I want to lift, instead of using IB's SMART to take that offer, I'd use direct routing to INCA via the API?? Is that the distinction??

    Thx,
    -bung

PS - the other point of my post was to request a couple of days of stored bid/ask data from NYSE from esignal, if possible. Currently, only NBBO data is available. It's annoying if you've been storing NYSE bid ask data all day, then close the program and come back to it an hour later to see that all of that bid and offer data is gone. Even if it could be stored locally, it would be nice.

    Thanks!!

  5. Chuck_T,

I have been using the new e-signal for a few days now. I can say that I am pleased so far.

The price filter does indeed address my concern about bad ticks messing up the charts.

Maybe, at LONG last, I can get rid of that POS Qcharts. (great charting, lousy reliability)

One suggestion, just one, so far. :)

It would be nice to have an option we could set so that we have the crosshairs/cursor window (one, both, or none, our choice) pop up upon pressing the pick button in the chart area. I have used this feature before and it is VERY handy.

    E-signal looks good so far.

  6. When are they going to make Keltner channels a standard indicator that you can adjust? Those three in the formula library dont cut it. Does anybody have them set up with 2.5 x ATR?

  7. Hello,

Lately I have been having freezes when there is heavy trading volume. (ES Mini contracts)

    Any suggestions would be helpful.

    Thanks ...PC

  8. Yeah no kidding - I don't have a futures feed, but the same thing has been happening with equities - like during the fed announcement last week...doesn't seem to be the feed, but rather seems to be the advanced charting platform getting choked by the data coming in...

  9. i loaded the new beta they put up on thurs afternoon...

not any better than before, actually seems worse with regard to CPU usage and freezing...

i haven't tried the new DM (data manager yet)...

deleting a bunch of old trendlines and removing pivots and OHLC from some charts helped quite a bit...

when i first loaded the program, a line manager came up and asked me if i wanted to kill all lines beyond a certain age...

i closed it and told it not to bother me again, but i can't figure out how to bring it up again - anyone know?

    thx in advance
