Does eSignal have any plans to offer the User the ability to filter the exchange when viewing charts and quotes? If you look at a chart for an NYSE stock, you will find that the majority of the bad ticks are from exchanges other then the NYSE, and the official closing and opening prices are often screwed-up because of trading on the other exchanges or form T trades. Most other data providers offer this ability I.e. QCharts. Thanks, Slave2Market
Glad you're pleased with eSignal. We think our Advanced Charts are a big improvement as well. We've just added tick charts to version 7.1 ( to be released w/in a few weeks ) and we have added a data export tool in 7.1 as well so you'll see our data in a tabular form. We do plan on adding point/figure and Market Profile in a future release. Thanks,
I hope you'll be pleased to discover we already have the ability to display region specific data for listed stocks. Here's an FAQ we have on the subject: http://www.esignal.com/support/faq/esignal/quotewin/quotewin_regional.asp Please note: We are storing the regional data on our intraday history servers so you can pull-up a 5 or 10 minute chart for a specific region ( i.e. IBM=N ). However, due to the amount of data in question, we are NOT storing this regional data on our daily history servers. As a result, you'll have a blank chart if you try to retrieve a daily chart on IBM=N. Please use the composite symbol for daily charts ( i.e. IBM ) Thanks,
Can someone tell me why - during the course of a few minutes during the day - new values are calculated each time I reload the pivot points???
Are multiday tickcharts possible in eSignal ? Eg, viewing a 500 tick chart for 3 days in 1 chart. Greetings Benny,
Bung: Could you PM me the pivot formula that you're using and I'll take a look at it? Also which symbol and timeframe? Thanks.
Yes, we will support mlutiple days of tick data in the official 7.1 release. We launched the beta of 7.1 with only 1 day of tick data for testing purposes. Best way to keep track of the new release is to register for the beta if you haven't already: http://www.esignal.com/beta_71/default.asp Thanks,
I signed up with Esignal recently and one thing I haven't been able to figure out is how to add a decimal point to to the value on the right hand side of the NQ and ES charts, e.g. it's 85600 at the moment and I would like it to display 856.00. Thanks in advance
Hope you're enjoying eSignal as a new subscriber. To your question, we currently don't have a mechanism to change the display for Futures. We've added it to the Product Suggestion list so thanks for your input. Thanks,
Scott, I called esignal support yesterday and today after the market closed, and the quotes for NYSE stocks had gone bad (MER MWD SBC VZ are the ones I follow). The men who helped me were accommodating, but didn't seem to have a clue. They both said they would pass the information along. I got a reference number today, so maybe I will be able to follow up. The problem is, after the market closes, the quotes for NYSE stocks seem to reflect the worst bid and offer instead of the best. Last sale seems to be okay, but the quotes are no good. The quote montage shows the accurate quotes, but they are not picked up by the regular quote window. Before the market opens, Nasdaq quotes are all goofed up too. I use eSignal to feed an excel spread sheet, so I need the best quotes to be sent to the spreadsheet (using the montage doesn't really help me). I think that if the techs pull up some quotes before the market opens they will see what I am talking about. Any help you could give in solving this would be appreciated. Thanks
