eSignal VS Qcharts

Discussion in 'Trading Software' started by callmeput, Feb 9, 2004.

  1. Hi callmeput,

    Try them both and at the same time...both have a free trial.

    Simply, your needs are mostly likely different from the needs of another trader that may make a recommendation for one or the other (as TMTrader has mentioned).

  2. qcharts works good some days and not so good others but it is a simple matter of a few seconds to change servers if it starts getting delayed . the price and depth of back data is hard to beat.
    if you need perfect quotes at the open it isnt the best. usually is delayed for first few min at open.

    I had Qcharts for about 6 months abd switched to esignal in October 2003. I wish I had done it sooner.
    I find the data to be faster and more accurate, no longer lose charts a few of times a week. Other people in yhr chat room I use have problems also.

    I have also found support to be much better and their is a lot free training online.

    The only downside is you do have to go through learning process and rhat is never fun. Imho it was well worth it.

  4. Not often discussed features of Esignal (absent from QCharts):

    -> programmable-- draws what you want on a chart
    -> can download tick data and replay the day!
    -> futures continuation charts
