eSignal Symbol Entry

Is it possible copy and paste a "bulk" list
of symbols into the quote window(s).
Or, Is it possible to load the quote window with symbols dynamically from an outside source (ie. EXCEL)?

If I'm not mistaken I used to create a simple text file and rename with a .sym extension. Then open that symbol list in a quote window.

 

I think I got it wrong. Just save the symbol list in a text file with .txt extension. Then select the quote ooption menu and click on dynamic quote file and select browse.

To answer your last question from your original message, I frequently copy and paste a list of symbols from Excel into a quote window. Usually they are scan files that I have downloaded into Excel and then after some more filtering I copy and paste the remaining symbols into eSignal.
