anyone else's esignal not responding right now?

  2. i actually had the same problem this AM with the latest beta (dated 11/22/02 - not sure what build it was)

it wouldn't get any intraday bars except today's intraday bars...

so i uninstalled it and went back to build 513, and everything's been fine since

  3. I AM SO PISSED AT THIS SH!TTY PROGRAM RIGHT NOW

I GO TO LUNCH, SHUT DOWN, REBOOT, AND ON MY LAST LAYOUT MOST OF THE WINDOWS HAVE BEEN CLOSED

NOW I HAVE TO GO OPEN ALL OF THEM AND PUT THEM IN THE RIGHT PLACES AGAIN

LIKE I HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO FOR THE NEXT 20MIN

I have found you have to be careful with esignal. I have 4 screens with about 30 windows, so I know from experience how frustrating it can be when you think you have saved the layout and it does not take the next time you boot!

The way I do it is, if you have made any changes and you want to keep them press the save button (the floppy disk in the toolbar) for each window you have changed when you have that window in focus.

Then for good measure hit Layout - Save Layout.

I upgraded to the beta today and so far so good.

I have closed and opened several times and it works. The only difference, which can give you a shock, is the new feature that warns if you have trendlines over 30 days old. This comes up like it is a big deal warning and half your charts are not drawn. But all you need to do is press OK and it will happily draw the rest.

Now we'll see tomorrow if the eminis update properly when the non farm payrolls come out and the no doubt ensuing volatility, which was the main reason I upgraded!

  5. Thanks for the response dude, BUT I did all that, as usual, but when I rebooted it, for some reason 3/4 of my (previously) open windows had been closed, and their last position was also lost when I re-opened them...it killed 20min of my day and really pissed me off bigtime (as maybe you can tell from my last post :D)

The software is the worst part of this business, next to the specialists, of course...
