Those with lagging data, do you have adequate system CPU/RAM/bandwidth resources? For high trade-rate symbols at busy times on layouts having many charts, multiple complex EFS formulas, or quote windows with many symbols, the CPU can regularly hit 100% utilization. Also, the data throughput demands can exceed the available internet connection bandwidth. Also, lack of available RAM can be an issue. At 100% CPU, the charts will only update as the processor queue clears. In the case of insufficient system resources, it gives the appearance of data lag on the layout windows. CPU/RAM/bandwidth limitations might not be the cause of the specific lag you're talking about, but I thought I'd mention it as something to check.
First time I've ever had a "glitch" with Esignal. I stepped away to get coffee, when I returned, it had just started to hang. Restarted the program (not the PC) and no problems or lagging after that. It's been rock solid and from what I can tell (e-mini futs only) in line w/IB data. amg
TradeStation seems to have gotten their act together! I made it through the entire session uninterupted! Very slight lag between the quote and Times and Sales.
platform was absolutely SPOT ON, and has always given me S&P quotes that are way ahead of anything on REALTICK or HAMMER TRADE. If you had REFCO Pro-Trade, you'd be surprised how late some of the quotes are on E-Signal, Hammer, and at times, Realtick. I am running a P4-2.60, 800FSB and 1 Full Gig of RAM via cable modem on Windows XP.
My Esignal quotes (charts) started running about 1 min. behind the quotes coming into the IB TWS at about 2PM EDT. I've noticed this happening on several occasions the last few days. I used Qcharts before and they were worse - Going down completely every couple days. Wally
