ESignal Data Questions

Discussion in 'Data Sets and Feeds' started by codetroll, Feb 2, 2009.

  1. I got a question regarding ESignal. They want additional money to sign up for exchange data (exchange fees, etc.) But my question is: Is it possible to use the broker's data feed (i.e. TD Ameritrade) instead? Save some money.

To be honest, I'm trading equities right now and I need a platform that allows me to trade from the charts, any suggestions?

The only reason why I'm looking at ESignal right now is the fact that they have a 30 day free trial going right now and I can trade from the charts (direct order entry). Makes my life easier.

    Thanks.

    Troll,

You can feed your broker's feed into the Trade Manager window of eSignal (i.e. the DOME display / trade ladder,) however the rest of the application will be fed by the eSignal data servers. To do the above setup, open the Trade Manager and select the Trade Manager menu followed by "Use Real-time Data from Broker".
