Esignal and IB users Please Advise

Hi,

When I place an stock order via the Esignal Interactive process to the IB TWS, I have to manuall place the symbol into the TWS Main front screen so I can monitor the $$ and order executions. In many case I do not have the symbols loaded as I dont have a pre set stock symbol list, as I chase news etc.

Is the any way TWS will put the Symbol in automatically into TWS screen when the order is place via Esignal process.

Yes Very, apart from the hassle of manual symbol load into TWS front screen. Unless I have got it wrong and it can be done, hence my question !!!

 

Ask your question at IB'S message board someone from the company usually answers questions.

Do you still need to have TWS open?

 

Yes, TWS must be open for saftey sake

 

Then I do not see theadvantage to trade thru eSignal. We can trade thru QuoteTracker too but I have not tried , so do not know the advantage either.
