eSignal 11 Preview

EFS is a disaster. Do you plan on revising it so it's not as clunky as it used to be? Getting work done in EFS was a total chore compared to TS or NT.

 

There are significant plans for EFS in the new version; an dramatically improved wizard to build studies quickly, improved back-testing capabilities, full auto-trading support, improved speed via a new JIT compiler...

Lots of excitement around eSignal 11; the preview is simply the beginning.

 

Actually, EFS is quite elegant, because it follows the ECMA script standard syntax (like, for example, Javascript, Java or C++). In fact, EFS is just kind of an extended version of Javascript. Much better than EasyLanguage of Tradestation.

It's NOT clunky, if you are used to this syntax (which most people with programming experience are).

The worst thing would be if EFS would be abandoned for a replacement which does not follow any standards (like EasyLanguage).

Thanks for the feedback sculptor. To clarify, we are definitely not abandoning the current EFS structure / syntax. We are simply improving the various way to get at it with various IDE items (wizards, editor, etc.), new functions and extending current functions for increased flexibility.

 

We are estimating a late summer, early fall release for 11.0.

We're starting a new series of videos on the preview of eSignal 11. Below is the first video on a new way of managing your windows in eSignal. There's also an RSS feed for the video series if you want to add this to an RSS reader, Google homepage, etc...

would be perfect if you guys would combine futuresource with esignal...can you do seasonal and seasonal spread charts in the new esignal?

 

For eSignal 11,


Is there any new/improved features on trading integtration/trade master
that connected to various Esignal supported brokers plugin?

e.g. Signal broadcast signal to execute trade on multiple account connected throught different brokers.

Auto Bracket,Multiple Bracket, Trailing stop order?
This are key features if you can do it right and simple on chart or even better if it's done on the DOM trade.
There are several good reference for good working DOM that simple and works well.

What about spread chart? It would be smart for software to execute trade on Custom Spread symbols and handling it as two separate orders/

Trading features improvement would increase the true value of what customer paid for eSignal , not just for DATA or charting alone.
