Now that's kind of funny about ES. I've heard that there'd be a great pissing and moaning if they changed the ES tick size. Apparently some folks are making money faster there with things like they are.

I agree. The way I see it is that the a lot of the sell side big money is only looking for a quick tick. A larger tick to point ratio would make this more difficult in my opinion. If ES was 0.1 rather than 0.25 then it could well be a lot more volatile making it harder to scalp, and lean against size when spreading against another index contract such as the SPoo (large S & P 500), Russell, YM etc. I could be wrong though.
