guess the short signal came in.
I took the 1295 short for 2 points only. got scared. didn't get it on the pop move before the magic hour. ...should of, could of...
    there's always tomorrow.

I was thinking the same thing (I don´t no if that makes it more likely to be true though :)).
The rallies showed less and less volume and YM were weak just like yesterday afternoon. I traded the break down at 15.35.

  3. Closed at 1294.50

After the correction to 1291.25 we went up again. In that upper move i closed my long as it became clear that 1295 would be the high of the day.

Doing some short term and day trading in another thread, but thought I would visit here and say that I am still maintaining the short at 1289 in my position account.

  5. If the ES breaks 1300 I'm gonna short it and hold on to the short position. My question is when the futures roll over in March, what happens to my position? Get's liquidated? Or rolled over to the next contract?

Just curious why you want to play hero and short a breakout ?

  7. hi volente ... have you noticed if the midnight rally effect is not as big an edge statistically in recent months or does it still drift up the majority of the time overnight ?

by the way ... do you ever look at the DOM display for ES or look at YM and NQ and ER2 when trading
    over night ?

( or even the nikkei or HK or DAX ) ?

or oil or notes and bonds and gold ?

It is still there, but it still works best when the makret closes on lod.

  10. I don't want to diddle in the middle. Furthermore, if the breakout is real and there's a tremedous amount of volume and momentum then I won't short it, I'll go long. But I suspect the momentum will dry up soon after the break.
Now to my question what happens if I have a position and the futures roll over?
