Can someone please supply the current ES symbol for use with Quote Tracker using Interactive Brokers as a data source?
    GLOBEX:mad:ESH doesn’t work.
    Thanks very much.

Thanks very much, but that doesn’t answer my question. What is the symbol?
Futures - GLOBEX:mad:ESH0 as stated on that web page doesn’t work.
Is anyone using the e-mini with IB & QT? I cannot figure out the symbol. Thanks.

Thanks very much but that doesn’t answer the question.
The web page you cite states for Futures to use GLOBEX:mad:ESH0
    That doesn’t work.
    What is the symbol?
Is anyone using this combination. I cannot figure it out.
    Thanks.

  4. It is globex:mad:esh2

rebubbler, in case its not obvious ESH0 was for 2010, ESH2 is for 2012... each time the future contract rolls over you need to update the contract symbol.

    That’s great! Thank you everybody.
I thought it changed every quarter, but I’m not going to look a gift horse in the mouth!
Is there any reason Woodie’s CCI is not showing up on the QT ES chart?
It shows up with INTC for example on price, range and volume charts, but when I change to the ES, I’ll get the red line leading indicator of Woodie’s but not the histogram. What’s going on?
And again, thanks for the ES symbology.

Not sure what you mean - the ES contract does rollover every quarter.

Well that’s it, will the symbol change from globex:mad:esh2 to something else at the end of the quarter? It seems to me globex:mad:esh2 is good until the end of the year.
IB will have a different symbol.
Why is this so complicated? Am I stupid? What am I missing?
Why are there so many different iterations of the ES?

    Sorry about the iteration.

    Thanks.

Yes, the IB symbol will change when the current contract symbol changes, this is not an IB or QT issue.

ESH2 is the Mar 2012 contract, when the contract rolls over in March you will need to switch to the June contract symbol (ESM2) and so on....
