No_PM, Hey! I am following this thread with great interest and fanfare; so much so that I'd like to trade along with you. 1. Your charts seem constructed from TradeStation. If so, caould you post the EasyLanguage code for the yellow previous hi/lo lines. 2. How did you get the 30 min CCI on the 5 min chart? Do you trade from only one screen or was that done for posting purposes? 10Q P.S. I've read some of your other posts. Your name stands out as a professional among the many bickering poseurs on this forum. Keep up the good work.
To put both 5 min and 30 min on the same chart just add the 5 min. symbol then do a insert symbol for the same data with 30 min. timeframe. I sized the 30 min. chart a line so you can barely see it. When you add the CCI Average just go to properties and tell it to run against the 30 min. data instead of the 5 min. data for the second CCI chart. Here's a snapshot of the easylanguage code for the hhll yelllow lines (setup as a indicator).
I'm only using the day session for the data since that's all I'm trading. The 30 min. CCI average was clearly in the buy zone before taking the long at 1306.75.
I am a long time TradeStation user but I have to admit I have no idea what you are saying. I don't even know where the Properties menu is. I asked about putting the 30 min CCI Avg on 5 min chart. Can you take me thru it step-by-step like I am eight-years-old. Use small words, please. Any way you can send the hi/lo bar indicator in ELD file format?
Methinks my CCI Avg is off then. I saw it was barely in the buy zone but clearly missed the short around 9:05. I pulled my CCI Avg from Woodie's CCIclub site. How did you create yours? I don't think TS has a template for such?
