so we have a four loss losing streak . KNow that I am not able taking every setup especially the ones in the morning, so I am not too bothered by this losing streak. I am confident that if I took the morning setups I would have at least one profitable trade. The model is barely higher than breakeven, as shown by the metrics, so it seems to be following the metrics quite accurately @Handle123
What did your backtest results tell you about your trade method in the morning trading session versus the afternoon trading session ? Also, what did your simulator or real money trading tell you about your trade results in the morning session versus the afternoon trading session ?
TRADE ONE: SHORT/LOSS/ BRD/30/11H00 11h01 I set my limit order to 76.50, TARGET= 72.25, INITIAL STOP = 78.75 EXECUTION Was filled at 76.50 at 11h02 (USING the DOM) → IN TRADE PERFORMANCE The next one minute candle was a large green candle→ which reversed the trend and price moved in the opposite direction. EXIT → after a few green candles , I was stopped out at 78.75 WHAT I LEARNT I wonder how this would of played out in a real live "money" trade? Perhaps I should retest the model with a rule saying that if 9EMA > 18SMA → I should exit the trade? @Handle123 @Redneck @NoDoji @Buy1Sell2 @aquarian1 @Gueco @pak @slugar @zbestoch @dratsum @wrbtrader
Remember I am backtesting manually in excel. There is no advantage to morning setups, but trades taken between 12- 1pm tend to be losers.
It looks like i am having a losing streak, but I should point out that if I did take the morning setup at 9h30 it would of been profitable. Seems like I am missing the profitable trades
TRADE THREE: SHORT/LOSS/ HBRD/30/14H00 I never posted trade 2 which I should of never entered yes it was a loss too 14h12 I set my limit order to 78.50, TARGET= 75.25, INITIAL STOP = 79.5 EXECUTION Was filled at 78.50 at 14h13 (USING the DOM) → IN TRADE PERFORMANCE EXIT Next green candle I was stopped out at 79.5 WHAT I LEARNT I wonder how this would of played out in a real live "money" trade? From now on if I see Hidden Bull divergence on the 60→ I am never shorting. @Handle123 @Redneck @NoDoji @Buy1Sell2 @aquarian1 @Gueco @pak @slugar @zbestoch @dratsum @wrbtrader
