  3. window dressers gonna be lookin for some fat dow 30's to add this week. soooooo much money on the sidelines. very hard for me to position short during holiday week and eoy.

    13 trades to catch as many points as I would have with one solid swing, but I feel charitable to IB today. :cool:

  4. Can a person who is not a quant from MIT or Harvard be able to pull money out of this thing? Been trading paper for a year now and thinking that in order to survive one must have a phd in math. Anybody here not a math quant and making consistent money? I am pretty good at math and keep a spreadsheet on my trading strategy, but seem to break even and not get ahead. I am ready to quit this game! Should I quit? I know emg would say so...

    wide stops in conjunction with relative size of pullbacks/retrace etc.

    add to winners on pullbacks.

    do not call tops or bottoms unless an exteremly strong exhaustion is obvious....then a very tight stop...maybe 5 contracts with 1 points stop.

    trade management more than being a quant.

    Write a plan and stick to it. record each time you violate it and get an ass kicking.

    Losses happen....don't beat yourself up if you followed the rules. The market gets a asay in your plan as well.

    Don't follow gurus. :cool:
