Sure SrRuth I would be glad to answer [Summary] Large buy orders came into the market around the 1140's market went up 30+ points very relevant. [Details] Its really about size of order plus delta. A lot of people can collectively put on 1s, 10s 50s contract orders and collectively they add up to a lot and are great. When orders go over 100 contracts, 500s, 1000s, they are added to the Delta but also carry weight. Lets say the bulls were winning against the bears and then you see a 1,516 contract long order; that is what I saw a couple of weeks ago when the market rallied long. As a daytrader monitoring order flow and other things is a plus. As a swing trader monitoring order flow is not really needed and as a position trader monitoring order flow is not needed at all and like VOL said if someone is "hedging from the pit" its a totally different ball game in that arena and they may or may not care for order flow.
I've always been a one trick pony for the most part. I just have one setup! Of course I get emotional and overtrade at times, but the bread and butter always pulls through.
Monitoring the NYSE Issues Good stuff Bigsnack whether your monitoring the actual tape printed every X number of minutes or looking at it in a line graph indicator you still get to see the overall breadth of the market. Again good stuff. Have a good weekend all
