stopped. Had an amazing trading patch recently, but you cant win 'em all! Would love it to absolutely melt up and get over-extended, but bears are bound to step back in soon. Either way, im probably done for the day.
I`m aware, but with this volatility, I`m willing to gamble with open profits as long as I don`t take on a loss that is bigger than one point. That is, in pursuit of a runner, which is what happened with my 1150 trade. I had 5 points in the green on the last trade as well, price looked like it might be stalling, but I was willing to let the market stop me out for a 1 point gain in pursuit of a runner. Eventually one gets lucky like I did and it pays off Especially since I used to take profits immediately when I saw green numbers on my screen in the past and miss out on big winners. I currently use IB both as my broker and datafeed. I`ve heard a lot of critique on IB`s feed, but in my practical experience it works like a charm. I have considered upgrading to a better datafeed as I`m considering methods of analysis that requires unfiltered tick data, but they all seem so expensive I`ll check out that test later if you are seriously interested. If you live in populated areas of Norway, you easily get high speed internet as good as anywhere else in the world I believe. I`m living in a rural area now and it`s not the best connection, but using limit orders make sure I get the price I want. I once made the mistake of using a market order in a fast moving market and I got some slippage. Not recommend either way. Stop orders are placed as I enter the initial trade and resides at the exchange. No problems yet
It seems you are doing great as it is, if you are not addicted. One quick self-check of addiction is that you can start or quit trading at anytime and not feel the need to watch a monitor or feel withdrawal symptoms like a junkie. I'm done too, but I'm addicted...so time to shut everything down and pretend it is 16:15 already. Take care!.
I guess I`m somewhat addicted, but not unhealthy. If it was severe, I would probably not be able to stop trading now. Correct? The ping was 166 ms, btw, and mind you that`s on a rather slow connection. Is that good or bad? You tell me...
Bulls failed to hold 1140.75 Bases are still loaded. 1 on deck 2 strikes against the bulls. Major Big Order Flow has slowed. Issues still somewhat positive. Bulls need to get back above 1140.75 and hold it. Bears need to make it all the way back to 1129.00 so not to concerned about the bears at this time.
