Tuesday looks like another buy the rumor sell the fact day.. people will soon realize the election makes no difference; next President will take office January 2009 and world is now at the start of a protracted recession. There could be an initial rally, squeezing the shorts but I expect markets to start a new leg down, as soon as Wednesday, quite possibly Tuesday afternoon.
Agreed. I will be out tomorrow, but when I return I will see if my pre-September systems perform well again in spite of still-hyper VIX numbers. Not that I dislike thin panties on the right woman...
startraitor, what technicals are giving you a bearish bias? I have a large timeframe bearish divergence. Critical level IMO is 960-962.50 within the next couple of hours. I'll be looking for a bounce from here to hopefully bring us up to ~970 again so I can get short with lower risk.... first potential area they can turn it back up if it breaks 960 would be ~920 ES.
