Uneventful day for me. Only had two signals. Used a trailing stop on both, and only managed to be slightly above b/e.
I would look at this as a good day for you. Your system gave you two signals and you followed your trading plan. You didn't overtrade or pull your trailing stops. As long as your system is sound, money will take care of itself over time. I had a great day money wise, which would normally make me very happy, but I'm just happy because of the mistakes I made (Beige book from earlier posts here and then missing entries why I tried to figure out how I missed it). I'm up 2k, mostly from the overnight position. But luckily I didn't end up giving back because it's these types of days that you get screwed from left to right. One more day like this, I'm gonna shoot myself. Anybody wanna lend a hand? Over my dead body!
Congrats on nice days for both of you guys. I wanted to trade more today so badly, but I held off. I don't really know whether that was a good or bad thing, and I guess I will never know, but I did follow my system. I'm disappointed my system didn't give me more trading signals on a day that had pretty good volatility.
Since everybody is sharing their numbers, I will do the same. $544, but it was done only with 1 contract and 3 Round Trips. After much deliberation and a couple of nightmarish nights in front of ES AH, I have decided to be more conservative with my capital. After being down $10,000 twice in the last 10 days and being lucky to get out of those crazy positions, I scaled down my positions and changed my entry/exit strategy. Today was the first day of my modified plan and it worked OK. Not a super big gain, but I'd rather make this than look in my wife's eyes and tell her that I just blew 10 grand. I will be more carefully and hopefully calmer in the days to come. Happy Trading to all.
Hypothetically speaking that was a good prediction, but went short early and got stopped out (via DAX), basically didn't wait for a re-test of 1500 in ES, at times we can be our own enemy. Updated 4 hour chart. <img src=http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=1593838>
I don't know if anybody knows this, is it possible to incorporate multiple index's data into 1 chart? ie S&P500 + DAX + Nikkei + etc = 1 chart.
