Vertigo - Thx for the wealth of information. I've never missed a news headline before (to my recollection). I thought using two links were enough but now I have a lot more free links thanks to you and tomahawk. I'm on the west coast so I do miss some of the morning chatter before the markets open. I don't trade the news so much, I just wouldn't have put in a trailing stop if I realized news was coming out.
I'll tell you what, jagmont, if I am at my trading desk, I will post the headlines 5 minutes ahead of scheduled release.
1500 isn't that much of an explosion considering we touched 1499.25 yesterday. I am wary of today being a mirror of yesterday, which would entail a rally starting at 3:35pm. (or not )
cattle prod effect on the markets ass is what i was expecting....so far so good....78.50 needs to be cleared..then 80`s...
yesterday from 1468.50 to 1499.25, then 10.75 back down to 1488.50 Today, 1488.75 down to 1468.25, a 10.75 point bounce would take us to....... 1479. (I was reluctant to post this earlier because it seemed so, so... stupid)
There was a floor trader on cnbc this morning saying he sees Dow 12,000 by the 17th. I forgot his name; he's one of the regulars though.
78.50 proves to be line in the sand.... 68.50 to 78.50 on a rule of 10 was a viable sell w/ stop just above. nice ebb & flow on the 10 rule(x 2 & 3) as well just about everywhere. out of longs between 76/78 from 68/70 zone...scaled both ways & rolling the ranges without having to be perfect.
