I don’t understand the short thesis behind the Market. Maybe certain industries but big money seems desperate to be positioned long. All my risky plays are blowing out their ATHs, maybe I am wrong?
most likely. ytd spx 2.88% dji 1.44, ndx 2.35. p/e is on the high side, everyone is doing yolo trade. the benefits of capital account surplus go to the top 1%. in the interest of self preservation, they are bailing each others out.
Until the punchbowl is taken away (this Prez and gang ain't doin' it that's for sure - they are just bringing in a bigger punchbowl) no reason to think short.
I believe Trump and his economic policies is the wildcard here. It's hard to see a sustained bull run until things become more stable - and who knows? Maybe we'll sell hard from these levels, too. I'm just trading technically and from my POV this week was biased to go higher with a kiss of ATHs (or close) before the next big move.
I read the China news, so we are back to where we were three weeks ago? I play high octane pumps and options(CRWV, OKLO, SMR, CRCL, Quantum themes.). They move against the Market but go berserk if we are positive.
“I’ve known this guy for a long time,” Trump said of former President Joe Biden. “He was never the sharpest bulb.”
Dunno. One characteric of the market lately is that every dip is bought, though. You can just tell there's a bid in the market even if there's some sharp drops. Maybe it's the TACO trade where market participants just don't take Trump seriously any more.
