  1. It takes vision, foresight, process, understanding to capture that one big move of the day, everyday.

Not just to scalp, but to ride that whole wave movement for all its got...you'll be tested greatly. Trading can feel more mentally draining than a game of chess at the end of the day

  2. Did @schizo go out for 1800 or just taking a early May?

These two will try to fuck up their providers:

    (Or without paywall: https://nypost.com/2025/04/27/us-ne...liers-not-to-raise-prices-over-trump-tariffs/ )

Which means: either Trump folds or in a matter of weeks you'll start seeing some empty shelves.

Edit: but what I'm really curious about is what the enrollment rate of foreigns students will be in September, because once it happens it will be harder to undo.

the article is just misrepresting, alberton statement says they don't accept the cost increase in the invoices, so if the cost items are as before but put tariff as surtax, that's negotiation.

    Maybe.

The way I understand it (I didn't look too deeply) is that on products that they have agreements on, they will not accept (initially) any price change (it would take a minimum of 4 months for them to accept any), but... suppliers can legally claim force majeure, so... either the suppliers (selling at a loss) or the retailers (empty shelves) are screwed initially (it will end up catching up with the consumers, of course).

Either they've lost their marbles or they're counting on the tariffs going away in days/weeks (which may be too optimistic).

Anyway, fellow pajama traders, what's your take for tonight?:

    1) Close small gap and keep edging higher
    2) We keep going down, accelerating at the Asian and Euro opens
    3) We just bounce around around this area until NY opens

Pajamas I haven't worn since grade school. And no need for them down here.

But I was leaning towards 3) - now this gap down opening has me thinking the movement away from Fri settlement likely to continue. For how long and how much anyone's guess. So I'll await RTH opening for further clarification.
