Imho, they're trying to gain time to trick/convince smaller countries to make a deal, so they can let Trump claim a win and then do some other "pause" or whatever. EU and China not in a hurry. Japan does not seem to be rushing either. The expectation is that the US will have to fold first, but we'll see. Mucho loco everywhere.
