No trades this week. And I don't feel bad about it, either. Volatility is nice, but this is a tad too much. Even during that monster rally there were multiple pullbacks in seconds or minutes way larger than a HUGE normal day. Brief example: 13:19:53 to 13:20:09 - an 81.50 point pullback (!) in 15 seconds. Next up - 169,75 points in 90 seconds.
Exactly, I was shorting last week and Monday and even giving the trade way more room to breathe than I normally do, I was getting stopped out all the time. In the end lots of breakevens, a few small losses compensated by a couple of small (for the volatility) winners... a wash, 3 fucking days where you could cuadruple an account with nothing to show for it, but hugely frustrated. I had them, they shrank (My account got bigger though, so it's all a trade off )
No honor given to people who let you bag hold a stock or contract 10-20% down and return to brag only when the pick is up. Max taught me days are a lifetime when trading.
I was posting last night about it being the setup for the V I figured QQQ could get to 440-450 by the end of week. Didn't think it would get this high, but here we are. The power of the V was breathtaking. I don't know how shorts recover. PTSD for sure. Whenever I short and it's rare I'm always in an out because I know more than anyone how unsuitable any down move is and it's only a matter of time before you get blown up. But the posts I was reading all over the internet. People really thought this time was different? How? Are you knew to the market? No crisis is ever real or sustainable to wall street.
The V power? You mean Trump caving and removing all the explosives and wrecking balls from Wall Street was your calculation? Do you think all the people who shorted lost money? I think many rang the register yesterday and the new shorts got hammered.
SMH... Just one day of recovery, and suddenly you acting like the market moved exactly the way you predicted. C'mon, man, haven't we been through this already... for the 1000th time? When will you ever learn?
