So, you're saying the highest level of trading requires a naked chart without anything on it? Unless someone posts a broker statement where they're absolutely bankrupting the market, let's not knock on others methods.
Personally, I would not be able to trade if I only had a naked chart. And I don't even use a single classical indicator. Actually, I do plot some MAs and the VWAP, but they're not a primary consideration. Any time I'm away from my main computer rig my performance deteriorates. Everything looks and feels different. I really believe in maintaining a consistent workspace day in and day out.
If naked chart means no indicators such as moving averages, oscillators, and so on, that's how I trade now. But if naked means nothing but price bars, no way. I need at least yesterday's high and low marked on the chart. I need the overnight high and low. And the high and low of the current day. I draw lines at levels that had been previous swing highs and lows. I guess I could trade without that stuff but it would be guessing. Pure guessing. I need those previous high and low levels because what tells me to start looking for something is price is getting close to one of them. Like I said, otherwise I'd be guessing. I go back and forth on VWAP. I agree with its usefulness at times. I go back and forth as to whether I should keep it on my chart.
Right on, LF. No one has a lock on day trading riches just like none of us has a lock on blowing up are breakneck speed.
What does: ".....yesterday's high and low marked on the chart. I need the overnight high and low. And the high and low of the current day. I draw lines at levels that had been previous swing highs and lows...." have to do with VWAP & MA's?
The hell do I know? What I said earlier flew over everyone's head anyway. It wasn't about indicators per se (or how many), it's about your dependence on these indicators. But enough said on this tiring subject.
Still think we’re headed there, but maybe not this week. Had the markets been open yesterday maybe… well have to see how hard the V-force is flowing today and early next week too. But it looks inevitable.
