What? You didn't like my response? Okay, it was unrelated to trading but that douchebag is making my blood boil. From a "diplomatic" point of view, he has no sense of common decency. For him, it's all about money and he's running the government just like a damn business. In any case, if you really wanna know what the crazy reason(s) was for bucking the trend, it's pretty straight forward. 1. It sold off too much too fast IMO. 2. It closed just shy of a major trendline on Thursday (see the chart Big AAPL posted yesterday). 3. End of the month window dreading (err, I meant stressing...okay, okay, dressing). 4. And don't forget I'm an idiot with big balls. See, nothing to it. That about wraps it up. Have a wonderful weekend y'all!
Didn't Trump already say he'll make Gaza Strip into Monte Carlo? And it's not even for Israel to decide!
You're right Pabs... Lets just keep sending $100B+ per year and keep the never ending war going. I mean face it, Ukraine can't win... human life means zilch to Putin, and he has them outnumbered with human cannon-fodder by a mile. It's trench warfare. I hear a lot of opinions, but not one solution. We can let Putin have what he's got and save face to some exent... or we can have an endless slaughter of millions of innocent young lives that drags on forever... costing the US and EU billions upon billions yearly. Or we can negotiate a permanent peace where each side gives something up. What am I missing here? Not pinging on you. And what you wrote here is on point and quite insightful: .
Vanzandt, respectfully: Over 3 years. Is it a gift? A loan? You're not sending money (Europe is). You're sending weapons, manufactured in the USA by American workers. For a price. And putting China on notice. Human life meant nothing to Hitler, Stalin, Hussein, Bin Laden... Let's just let them save face Millions? Highest estimate for Ukranian military dead is 80,000. Multiply that by 3 for Russians. A tragedy instead, but certainly not millions. How many *Americans* have died? Why zero interest in ending other way more deadly wars (Sudan, Congo, etc.) If the whole idea is to save lives (Russian soldiers lives?), how does that square with dismantling US Aid that saves (and improvs) countless lives for a fraction of the cost? Flip those two sentences and you'll see: - What am I missing here? - What is the Russian side giving up? - How "permanent" has any peace treaty signed by Russia ever been? - If Russia gets to annex 1/10th of Ukraine, who's next? Taiwan? Japan? South Korea? Syria, Lebanon and Gaza? I understand wanting to avoid war, I wouldn't understand FDR telling Churchill to give Scotland to Hitler so the US can do business in Germany, all while demanding the UK gives up 50% of its coal mines for the help given. Same here, sorry for the political detour in this thread.
We all expect an update on your success Chris! Anything over this big is just showing off. A few 100 oz nuggets are more than enough to avoid any unwanted attention.
Trying to get my drone up there but it's been too damn windy. I sent it up last night and it freaked out and returned home by itself.
My "allowing Putin to save face" comment --- as I see it at least--- is the ONLY way he's gonna back down now. What is Russia giving up? Well if I were brokering the deal I'll tell you what he'd be giving up in exchange for however many square miles they now occupy. Ukraine gets in Nato. Simple as that. Residents of the occupied areas that want out, get more than adequately compensated by Russia to move (some there want to be under the Russia flag apparently). And with that, he crosses the line again, it's game on and he gets destroyed. I see no other way. What's the alternative? Every military strategist out there is of the opinion that there is no way Ukraine can win. As things are. I hate to say this, but there has always been war. Territories are won and lost. Are we more advanced now? Apparently not. So what price is Europe and the U.S. willing to pay to stop Putin? Because other than continuing to give Ukraine just enough armament to maintain a stalemate, the costs as I see it would be a horrendous war whose destruction and bloodshed would be unfathomable. Putin has annexed roughly 15% of Ukraine's land mass. That's a lot for sure, but stopping him there, paying restitution to anyone that wants to leave and allowing Ukraine to be in Nato, while not perfect seems reasonable given the alternatives as they currently exist. And yes B1, we digress. So I will stop here. But on the weekend, I don't think it's a big deal for loyal fans of this thread to engage in a polite, respectful conversation with no childish name calling etc--- and you know as well as I that these events DO matter from a trading standpoint as evidenced Friday so a little off topic on the weekends regarding the bigger picture and what the possible outcomes could hold is not out of line imo. Maybe you should go to work for Meta. Oh I forgot, they don't censor anymore.
