I know the feeling. It's called gang rape. But that dude's been on a winning streak for like a month. What's he complaining about?
Looking at daily and prior ranges today doesn't look like anything out of the ordinary to me. 13th of March 2023.
Not trading this session. Just taking a quick look. Looks like a good short in this area (5520) for a move back to 5500/5490, but don't use a wide stop on it.
I kind of always wonder what it means when they say they aren't reading the market well. If it goes your way, does that mean you're reading it well? And if it doesn't go your way, how are you not reading it well when you are forecasting the future, and that isn't really reading anything? Its like saying you're not reading my reply well if you don't know what the first word in my next paragraph will be. So to me, it seems like the only thing a trader can say as a critique of their trading is that they missed a sign that would have prevented them from either taking a trade, or going in the opposite direction, but this is a sign they are looking for usually for but just overlooked this time. Maybe you usually need to see 3 things line up, and you take a shot on the trade after only 2 parameters are met. Then sure, you can say you're not reading it well, but rather, it would be more appropriate to say you didn't follow your rules. Well, that is at least how I understand all this while I silently follow all the posts in this thread.
It looks like just about all the candles at the bottom were 100 pointers. So, here's a key takeaway. When we make 100 points in the opposite direction before lunch, it means the macro trend has changed. Go bulls!
Nah, I don't mean making or losing money. I had some good trades and many scratches this week, both on the way up and down, as usual. What I mean is that normally I have a good sense of whether we're trending or range-bound (then I make money or not based on my execution, timing, luck, etc.), yet yesterday and today I'm utterly confused, regardless of P/L. It was just a comment anyway.
