Flat for a 3.5 point loss. This is actually good. I can get in at a better price and hopefully take on a larger position. Looking for long re-entry at some point. A big dip would be nice.
I'm done until the NYSE opens. I tried a long. I was late because the prop firm rule, while a good one in general, can make you late. I FOMO'd the first entry. Scaled to three which is my max before I just cut my loss. Made some scalpy long profits and some scalpy short profits with a net of 10.5 points. I give myself an A for the 10+ points profits. I five myself an F for controlling my emotions and sticking to my plan. I'm putting myself in a "timeout" until 9:30 AM.
Not one five minute bar has made a higher high than the bar before it since the news spike. 2 inside bars and market broke the lows, three trend bars with broken lows. Market couldn't hold above yesterdays' high, and now falling below yesterday's close and the globex open. I'm more than a little surprised by the strength of the selling. I feel that the dip buyers need to make a stand right here at the close-open level 5684.50. I'll be using that level to judge the day's trend.
Market's still green as measured by the 4PM close and we're only back down after an initial spike. Doesn't seem too dramatic to me.
If it's not sold and we do breakout - I think 5725 looks nice. Wrong around 82.50 for now. Covered a lot of ground already, so it's difficult to say. I still have faith in the bulls.
