Dude, all I'm trying to do is find why it moved. Nothing else. Don't you wanna know the reason? But, other than that steep drop last month, I don't recall ES reacting like this in the overnight session to the announcement coming out of BOJ. Maybe times are changing after all.
Of COURSE the markets are on edge. The entire global economy is shitting bricks because of the tightening schedule. The markets are going to follow Powell's lead over the long term. In the short term, it is ALL ALGOS. In the long term, it is the USA central bank. In the aggregate, the ES has made some spiky moves in the ON session over the years. Trust me on that. You just have not seen them. And I bet that this current move will smooth out in the morning before the PPI, and then puke after PPI if the number is off-kilter.
We have way too many economic craps. Just keeping up with all the economic numbers coming out of the US is enough to drive me crazy. Do I now need to follow BOJ too?
