Iran says the retaliation is “ concluded” . lol . I bet they called us and told them exactly when and were the drones were to shoot them down . Iran did to save face .
the war just began, given their distance is more than 1500 miles, slow flying drones are likely to be shot down anyway. https://fortune.com/2024/02/20/isra...eal-estate-consumer-spending-gaza-hamas-war/#
War ? You can’t fight a war from 1100-1700 miles away . Sure can lob some missiles back and forth . You can do some air strikes . Wars requires 100’s of thousands on the ground and tanks and other things
when was the last time you saw iran lobbed so many drones and missiles at other countries? ineffective perhaps but it began.
Hell if Ukraine with little training can knock down 90% of the drones I’m sure Israel and the us can knock 99-100% down
For ES, I have the 50SMA at 5145. ES low on Friday was 5150, so I'll accept that as close enough. On SPX the 50SMA is 5110,38. Friday's low actually exceed that at 5107,93. A quick visual back-test of the 50-SMA on daily closing prices doesn't strike out as anything special to me. Looks like random and possibly worse than random.
ema i used. it bounces off around 20ema every time. last few sessions it went below solidly. have to wait until next fed decision.
last post on this, don’t want to derail the es thread. the significance is that it is the first time iran directly attacked isreal, it is a full out war. isreal disabled the gps so any projectiles would be dumb, so goes with the slow drones, like they took off from nyc and going to miami, 2 hours flight time, pretty of time to respond, from all the mid-atlantic states along the way.
What you don't realize is that Iran gave Israel advanced warning 5 days earlier so they can protect themselves. They even told them when the drones and rockets were fired. On top of that, they told them in no unspecified terms, "we've now concluded our mission". Just who does that in a time of war? Also most of the drones and rockets didn't even come anywhere near large cities. Doesn't that tell you anything?
