I’m waiting for some kind of rug-pull. Interest rates, a war, something. I thought we’d get hit with a strong pullback yesterday, but it turned out to be a bull flag. Overall I’m still bullish and looking for a completion of a measured move on the monthly. I don’t think we’ve hit it yet. After that is when I’ll expect a decent pullback and maybe a change of trend. Having said all of that, I’m an intraday scalper when I trade NQ/ES. So I may have a bias, but I’ll still trade whatever’s in front of me at the time. I use small stops, so I reversed and caught a piece of the run-up yesterday. But it did surprise me.
i missed the equity run-up but those are not the only trades and i am not convinced it is anything but fomo. as long as the market is open, always some instruments to make money. btw, just out of remaining spxl lots from 2021 and 2022 at small profits.
With DOW over 40k (and YM is my instrument of choice and has been for a over a year now), it is getting difficult to "believe" the current picture long case. I certainly have, had, and will have, my share of bad outcome trades. That I expect, everyday. A bad outcome trade however, does not equate to a bad outcome day. Those are few. As an eod-flat trader, the money is green whether it comes from longs or shorts. "Believing" beyond what is presented to me in the moment, is not part of the job. That's something "resistors" don't seem to grasp. Too bad for them.
me too. i am sitting on a drawdown for nearly 600 points from last two days alone, ym will retrace at some point again. but being a fifo p&l, seeing red is not putting anyone in a good mood. anyway, ym ytd realized net over 10k profit in alone (minus the drawdown 3k).
@Buy1Sell2, is that 5600, give or take a few points? @theapprentice, is that what you have in mind as well, 5600-ish?
