  1. Ok than I got lucky that it hit first target and bounced off it both as support and resistance and than cleared the main target, let's go with that. Sure fine with that.

EDIT: I am not even being sarcastic I am serious

  3. only got to 34 ish. 10 point short of my hunch. Decent drop since.
Maybe best to wait until tomorrow. Hopefully a decent dip tomorrow and soon maybe a buy sets up for the next ramp

  5. Not sure if you're talking to me or not, but I was using TA and momentum and an ATH on NQ that was likely to be cleared via that, now that NQ cleared probability is ES will do the same thing, of course as always nothing is guaranteed.

It really is that straight forward. People questioning what I am doing, than I will question what they are doing. So if ATH is taken per you or them great, what are you relying on then? Fib? Your own personal macro read? I'll glady take my approach and they can take theirs. No issues with that.

I am not saying that isn't the case, but Rtrader Pro, Ninjatrader, Motivewave and Tradingview are all showing other numbers.

I am not saying one is better as the other, all I am curious about is why there is a difference, since that shouldn't be possible.

I am also not questioning you, I am questioning the data, big difference.

What data provider are you using?

Even the CME, the exchange where ES trades, reported ES futures closing at an all time high a few day's ago, I doubt they would get it wrong.

I wasn't trying to start an argument, wasn't questioning anyone or wasn't trying to be an ego or whatever. If my trading platform was showing the wrong data I would want to know, now I know that isn't the case since the CME confirmed it.

What anyone else does with that information is up to them, at least now I know I am using the correct levels.

  8. That's great. You've got the correct levels and you're all set now. Otherwise I don't know what to tell you, you're not even addressing what I am saying or doing but think you are. I am not disputing that futures closed at all time levels, just that charting it via continuous contract on my platform it hasn't.

If you think you or anyone else here has the legit reasons why market is moving higher and I am by default getting lucky off of that. That is a perfectly fine opinion and have no issues with that and can respect it.

You do realize it doesn't even really matter in the end for day trading right? People posting ES targets 300 points higher. That's basically buy the dip and rely on context and the macro bullishness of market. Which no issues with that, that's smart. That isn't necessarily directly related to any type of consistent long term day trading though. Hopefully everyone is aware of that for their own sake and anyone else's.

The difference in price is probably due to @Concinnity having a market data setting selected where offset values are used to back adjust historical price data to match the next front month.

If he's using Ninjatrader he probably has "Merge back adjusted" selected instead of "Merge non back adjusted".

Doesn't sound like he cares though...
