Well I guess it's going to depend on instrument too because NQ already made two new relative highs and got within 5 points of target I posted earlier and was looking for. That's what I was saying about preferring NQ as it has went up like 35-40 points now, provided two different long setups and ES barely made a new relative high and wobbling back and forth. I got paid and currently just in 1 micro long, but yes I I still favor the long over the short, absolutely no doubt in my mind that is the probability. Again nothing is 100% and I am not relying on it, like I said still going to manage risk of course.
Why do you want to be a smart ass? I can't even see an instrument or tell what time frame that is. Second of all if you don't want to read what I post that is fine, but than why comment to me if you won't read what i post. I genuinely doesn't understand. Is 35-40 point up move not a respectable move to you? Than what are you doing? Just using account size, time and natural bullish bias of the markets as your edge? Now if that's an ES chart and you're saying it didn't rip. You're saying exactly what I said ES did absolutely nothing while NQ made 2 clear new relative highs and paid out. If we cant count a 35-40 point move on NQ as a decent move, than what is? Do I need 80-100 point move? what are we doing here day trading it? or intra-day swinging? I won't speak for you, but I am day trading it, not swinging it. Lastly the probability is absolutely long, if you think it's short, go ahead. If you're right it's just luck. But market can do whatever it wants and nothing is 100% that goes without saying and I realize that, so certainly manage risk and trade your plan accordingly. Like I said we could pull back 3:00 or 3:30 and if we do ill look for a long. I am currently looking long now though and getting in and out. I don't sit here and try to be right or worry about being wrong. The probability is long regardless if it works out this time or not. It could move down 500 points in 1 second and I won't change my tune, just manage risk. That's the difference between you and me. If it crashes here you're going to think you're right and my "call" was wrong despite already being paid out on it.
Why so sensitive? I read what you wrote and you mentioned movement. What I posted was a 5m bar chart of NQ This is ES You're very defensive. I genuinely found it interesting that you felt NQ "ripped" while ES didn't. Don't worry about what I do, you wouldn't care if I explained it.
That's now how I took it on my chart, NQ made 2 new relative highs and ES did not. My comment was topping tail on 1 hour NQ often gets punished up to 110-115, we went to 104.50 and, so fail short but was good enough for my trade. If I would of bought ES same time would of made a lot less.
Not to state the obvious, but if we can hold here and stabilize, make it to 3:30 could be an additional leg up. Quite some time between now and 3:30 though so maybe I am asking too much.
Up side is limited today in my view. Should close below 70. Watching for new lows still, but that recent leg might have been it for today.
