I have been here since about that time too, under a different handle. So I know the score, seen people come and go, I prefer to stay incognito now, less drama.
And yesterday you believed the market was going down posting it multiple times, but when you were clearly wrong and confronted with it you start with condescending comments and threaten with the ignore function. That's not very nice behavior. Rest assured, if the market did go down yesterday, we would hear about it afterwards... Now, you're not the only one doing it either, so you're in good company. I'm not sure if that's entirely true. For me, EliteTrader is the closest thing I get to colleagues or social outlet as a trader. My day job is as an engineer and I never hang out at engineering forums. EliteTrader is the work place equivalent of water cooler talk at the office. Exactly.
Can we just look at the bright side of things and ignore the bad? We're all here to have good time, no? I, for one, know that I brag a lot. But I do it more out of jest to entertain (mostly out of boredom) than to take some imaginary credit, if that means anything. I'm sure @SunTrader is the same. Give the guy some time and I'm sure he'll become a permabull in no time.
I don't mind a diversity in opinions and enjoy reading various comments here, but condescending comments and threats of using the ignore function just because of a question/remark isn't something I appreciate. Keep bragging. It's all good to me. Sunny can brag as well if he ever sticks his neck out and get it right. So far I haven’t seen it. There's a lot of smoke and mirrors on EliteTrader, though. The truth is I have no idea about the performance of any of the posters on ET. There's a few I suspect may be doing really well, but at the end of the day I really don't know. Personally, I have no desire to pretend or try to be a guru, so if anyone asks me about my performance I’ll give you an honest reply. Yesterday was a big losing day for me. However, if I wanted to, like so many others, I could have kept my postings vague and pretended to be a big winner every single day. I have myself had long winning streaks and then given back a lot of profits on one or two bad days. So, I know how difficult this is. I would easily have paid $1K if that gave me the full P&L history for every member on ET. I’m sure that would be very interesting.
