Curious to see where we close today. The odds of that late session rally appears slim right now. Can't rule out a dump going into the Close. Could be one of those days...
https://www.ft.com/content/9bc73cea-e736-42f1-8a8f-6fc85945b641 JPMorgan has estimated that Washington will need to borrow $1.1tn in short-dated Treasury bills by the end of 2023, with $850bn in net bill issuance over the next four months.
No disrespect but your 5-6 posts on the mkt today shows why so few traders make money over time . Everyone of your posts were influenced by movements which happened already and you changed your mind 4-5 times after the fact of the move . Not once did you say the best trade of the day is to do nothing . This is just slop and chop . When you trade these type mkts you get tossed around and it effects your ability to see the next good trade . You become frustrated from the chop and make bad decisions.
None taken. If you see my first post I did say I was anticipating a new LOD as it was still early in the day. I also said I didn't expect today to turn into an Outside Day. This is based on statistics. That's also why I lost faith in the late session recovery as time wasn't on our side. It was a red day for me, though, partially due to missing the Open. Today's afternoon session was a spikey nightmare on ES except for very nimble scalpers. In comparison, NQ was a fairly smooth trend day down. How did you make out? Do you trade NQ as well?
What I find interesting is that nobody ever says "careful, we are ENTERING chop". Everyone always says after the fact, don't trade the chop. As for being influenced by what has already happened, this is exactly what trading the trend means. You have to see a series of higher highs and higher lows in order to want to go with the trend. If you buy before an established trend, you're hoping it turns into a trend. Now don't get me wrong, I want to be a buyer at the lows and hope they don't break, and if it turns into a trend, great, I'm already in. But this is just a different style. If you are going to take trades before something has happened, you have a good entry perhaps, but not a great win rate.
so quite here, i guess everyone is ... i have to tke large losses next week when roll, but still maintaining short view, q2 is not good for me.
