out here for +11 Not seeing much today. Up seems obvious (of course. Rampy market). Would rather buy pullbacks, although I could of course end up missing the next massive ramp up, but it is what it is. (I'm guessing 4150 ish or so but who knows)
Holding through this release with a trailing stop at + 2.5 (84,50). I'm not expecting this to have any serious slippage like last falls CPI's and hopefully the cat is out of the bag by now regarding that type of news. I typed the above pre-release and didn't have time to post it. Believe it or not, but I was stopped out without slippage for $250 on that initial spike down. Sucks to see it hit my target shortly after, but that's life. I don't see any other trades at this point, so might take an early weekend. Maybe long on a pullback on the Open.
Went long again on that dip as the dust settled. Super tight stop (88) as this can go all the way back down to the close from yesterday. This is all free wheeling and "experience", but I have a hunch we'll see that 4100 print today in RTH. Maybe 4110/4115.
True. By definition you are 100% correct. Lets call it a "grind up, gap down" for now then. I won't fight the tide, but there's too many black swans lurking out there Spooz. I have never been a perma-bear, markets love climbing a wall of worry, but fwiw when anyone asks me, anyone that doesn't trade but has their money professionally managed... I've been telling them to go into cash, treasuries, gold, or land--- 'but get your money out of stocks'. I don't trust this market Spooz. It's always been a house of cards, but geopolitically, this time really is different. But for now, trade the tide I guess. Just don't park that retirement in stocks. The time to do that is 40% lower.
Flat at 98.25 on a trailing stop after the 4100 print. I don't see why this can't continue running, but it's all uncertain and I'd rather book the day. Would have been a beautiful day if I held the original trade to target, but caught a few crumbs afterwards at least. Apparently not. Please fill me in.
Correct. You've been anti-trend following for a long time, but it is true that in order to profit, the market must trend on some time frame.
