If you look back through all the recent bear markets, you would clearly notice that NDX had the worst performance. So it wouldn't surprise me if it lags behind other indices going forward. But it'll catch up...eventually.
Would it surprise at all to know that back last year @ the June 16 lows $SPX made a lower low the next day before moving higher while $NDX didn't need to? In fact $SPX made a lower low, lower high and almost a lower close while $NDX made a higher low, higher high and higher close.
I was referring to the entire bear market, not just any single day's move. NDX is just more volatile, hence it drops more in a bear market than its peers and rises more in a bull market. And since we're in a bear market, it's only natural that it would underperform DJIA and SPX.
BTW she crossed the Rubicon. She ain't coming back. I say we get another booster on Monday, a repeat of Friday. If we were to open and go straight up without reversing, the target would be 4045. Most of that will come from institutional short covering.
Thats a whole different discussion …. That said, Be stubbornly selective & patient on entry.. as it’s the most important variable of the trade, hands down! It dictates the entire trade… 8x out of 10 you’ll get hit… I pride myself on pinpoint accurate entries… when ur entry is accurate.. the remaining trade is correct and easier to manage without excessive risk… Mitigating risk is paramount… become obsessed with accurate entries and your trading will take care of itself…. Stubborn on entry… Flexible on exits… I scale out of everything as one needs to trade their personality.. there is no standard or right or wrong way to trade aside from winning your day as it’s a war…
Thought I'd ask, ya never know. I've run across some fine business that you've posted in here. As far a answering "How would you describe what triggers a buy or sell to enter a trade?" Sometimes people drop specifics sans the trimmings. Me for example. I would say that a Hammer at support or resistance is worth doing some stats on as a trigger to buy or sell to enter. Do you have any similar types of concise one sentence responses to entry triggers?
