Earnings: $2.32 adjusted vs $2.29 per share expected, adjusted, according to Refinitiv. Revenue: $52.75 billion vs $52.94 billion expected, according to Refinitiv. Sales growth is expected to come in at just 2.3% year over year, which would be the weakest expansion for Microsoft in any period since 2016. I wouldn’t call it a beat, sakes is slow. EPS is probably due to fire lot of people.
That was close... 4K dip buyers showed up early at 4005.25 for today's LOD, but not enough power to get a green close in RTH. Statistically, a green close today was unlikely, hence my call for today being a down day. Should be interesting to see where tomorrow and Thursday takes us. I'm pretty much neutral here with a slight bull bias.
But you usually don't see much action until the Euro boys come online. This is the first in a long while I think. There was that BOJ fiasco last month but that kicked in much later.
I'm not a big believer that the overnight futures action is very important generally for determining overall market direction. This is why I always say that cash rules futures. Here is the recent daily cash action and it still looks long to me--
Lol, it DOESN'T! OMG you've been here for like 100 years and you felt the need to make that statement?!? Of COURSE the overnight session does not dictate the next RTH. OMG, why am I even discussing this in this journal? For crying out loud! This is the only version of my thought to you on this I could find on such short notice.
