It not only blocked you from reading their posts, it blocked them from reading your posts. It was recently done away with for various reasons.

    Interesting.

I don't mind if they read my posts so long as I don't have to see their posts.

MNQ only, +95 points net. Not all winners, but the winners outnumber the losers in both size and number.

I've been away for a little while, so sorry for bringing up this older post given that the thread has moved on for dozens of pages.

But I was curious to ask, given this recent update, and thank-you for the honest update, what is your thinking about trading a strategy or style for long term success? That 120 point win is clearly incredibly difficult to replicate, and I imagine that long term, the results are maybe 5 to 10% max if we included every trade taken, so this means that you generally have to sit around most of the time and just wait for the profit to hit or stop out (regardless of it hitting the stop for a small loss or small profit, which you can't really take if the idea is to make 100 points). Clearly going 50 points into the green and seeing it go to zero is stupid, but then how else do you get 100 points? And if you start taking 50 point winners, then this isn't 100 points, and taking only half the profits might mess with what is necessary if you have many 5 or 10 points losses along the way.

You've obviously taken at least 50 or 100 trades since that huge win, and reading the commentary you post on some of the trades, its clear that for most of these trades, the conviction was either there initially, and then quickly faded, and then you took opposite side, and that conviction also faded, so is perhaps having conviction in a trade not all that important? Would any of the trades that you put on since the big day have also hit 100 points of profit if you never touched it?

I guess the ultimate question is, at this stage, having gone through the ups and downs of huge wins and now being in a drawdown, what do you think is the best/easiest path to consistent profitability? Huge wins seem to be incredibly hard psychologically since they are so rare and you keep having to take trades after so many stopouts, but sticking with your conviction. @theapprentice is showing amazing trading with what looks to be mostly going with the flow (although there likely is much more analysis going on in the background that we don't know), but at least it appears that he isn't gunning for big wins and hence doesn't really have too much of a bias. But this also requires consistent work.

So is there anything about your style of trading that you think is working for you or that you would change going forward after the last two months of successful trading but being in a temporary lull now?

buy the dip via short strangles on futures options, with a healthy account balance without too much leverage, easily 50% returns or more.
