In a way, he is more right then twice a day And he did create a meme. Didn’t Cramer said something about a V a few days ago?
Absolutely. In fact, I even acknowledged his crowning achievement back in March. After all, S&P and Nasdaq crushed it in 2023. It was only when he said we would never see another correction IN OUR LIFETIME in March of this year, I revolted and created this thread: Vote: Who thinks S&P500 will reverse trend in the next 10 days (2 weeks)? https://www.elitetrader.com/et/thre...rse-trend-in-the-next-10-days-2-weeks.378658/ And guess what happened? S&P tanked the following month. Then he again prophesied we would never again see another correction like the one in April. Well, guess what, fortune teller??? It fell again in August, and this time much steeper than in April. So, all in all, had he just kept his mouth shut, he would have gone down as one of the Nostradamuses of ET, but he definitely blew that chance. Let's see if he can redeem himself. Needless to say, a rising tide lifts all boats. Yeah, no shit Sherlock. But this means that everyone is a genius in a bull market. It's only in a bear market you're able to prove your mettle. So if you truly wanna know your trading skill, don't shy away from the bear market. Anyway, enough said. Hey. it was me who coined "V-man".
Yeah, he's not a bad guy. I actually always get the impression that he's someone who has gone short too often, lost because of it, and then became bitter and melancholic, only to start advocating the opposite. I kind of resonate with that a little bit myself: it definitely feels like this will never go down. Never, ever.
I dunno where you live but around here they say "Ma'am, you're guilty until proven innocent." Anyway, I've been trading for over 30 years and I respect all good traders, regardless of whether one's a permabull or a permabear. One thing I like about V-man is that he's consistent. That dude ain't no pussy like these other bears. He's not the one to quit or get scared and run for the exit. Maybe that will be his ultimate downfall, but his enthusiasm is second to none.
So it looks like we were up about 8 points at the high so far tonight. Down 6 now (delayed). You know what that means... Even as bullish as I am.... timbeeerrrr. We should be up right now if tomorrow wasn't going to see a sell-off. Could be wrong though. It needs to bounce quick if otherwise is to be expected. Like within the next three hours a plus 18 point deal.
