Habits are difficult to change. What could an interesting little project is to post the opposite of your actual trades and see what happens. But now I posted this you have to deny doing it, so we will never know
I don't have a journal anymore for this reason. How hard would it be if someone saw some of your political posts and then your trades, and just happened to be running a big enough government fund to do just that? You're definitely at a disadvantage, showing your cards in real time. Discretion is mandatory in all business. Just who is out there watching you?
What’s your average trade size? Do you seriously believe that anyone is moving one of the most liquid futures markets in the world to stop you out? For what purpose? I’m not sure if you’re being serious or not at this point.
Simple solution. Don’t post your stops. Use a 20 point disaster stop. Not every trader have a hard stop in the market. But I’m 100% convinced that there’s no such thing as «stop hunting» individual retail traders in ES.
Schizo was joking around, it’s like my TSLA put trade today. I got bored with the chop, I sold a chunk for nothing and after I sell the stock tanks options go from $3 to $5.40. Personally Elon was picking on me
You getting stopped out in the fashion that you have been means you know how to read the market, in my opinion. Consider it a win.
I suggested a Discord channel to which it was poo poo'd. Have you folks entertained the idea of public trading journals like https://tradersync.com/ or https://www.tradesviz.com/? We could all join one of those sites/journals and make our activities public. Edit: I do believe some of those sites/journals allow you to run PNL contests within a group.
Its been happening a lot to me recently even when I don't post my trades on here. On one side, it doesn't make any sense for the market to be manipulated against me (and my tiny position size), but on the other side, I just cant believe how often its been happening and then reversing the second I have been stopped out.
