  1. Congratulations yourself! :)

Had my share of luck, too. Have no issues admitting it. But I refuse to believe it's all luck since I've been taking home quite a few big ones lately.

It takes a bit of experience and guts to hold a trade for a big move. I know since it's only this last year or two I started holding for some big wins while in the past I would paper hand it as soon as some green showed on my trading platform.

I don't doubt your results, but for the sake of completeness, lets also not forget how quiet you have been for the past week or two. As I've mentioned before, you only ever show a chart with a trade once you are very much into profit. Are we to assume that on days you don't show a chart, there is no profit to show?

Everyone is beating up on @Scataphagos for not making any calls and just sharing hindsight analysis, but you aren't too far off in this regard. So even though banking 100 points is a killer trade, how does it stack up against the results from the past few weeks?

One of the things I've noticed is that you seem to only share trades on days that have a huge daily range, but these days are of course not the norm. Even you just sharing now that this was your only trade, apart from another short during the Globex session, shows that you're only ever sharing once the trade really gets going.

So I just think that its really important to put this all into context. If you are here for all the glory, and there is nothing wrong with that, you need to be a little more transparent. I see you also participating in the thread about Tom Hougaard, and although I have no idea about some of the accusations regarding his involvement with the CFD business, at least he calls out every single trade in real time.

I see lots of guys here now very impressed, but we are only getting 20% of the picture, and its important to bring this to light. All your posts in other threads recently warn anyone against getting into trading, and you're likely correct, but why would that be if you're making in one day more than your entire yearly salary? Obviously today is rare, and there are many days where you get chopped up, so the idea isn't to get all the glory for one day, but for consistency, which is what you aren't exactly sharing.

Actually. I believe he is being very transparent
He posts his winners as well as his losers and today he had a very well deserved day

EOD Results: Not sure about the exact amount except, the worse case scenario occurred:
Up about $1700 single contract at 9AM PT, then takes a long and sits on it until the bottom and then goes long: Net -1200.

    Notes:
It hit the -2K stop loss. This was a safety valve. Good to know it works
This was sim since I was debugging.
Kinda cool this happened today since I was planning on fixing this scenario.
Case it fixed in multiple ways, but it is hindsight so results are not really valid (13 trades +1700 with a -1300 in there).

So I will probably let this code go live now.

As for the bug in MC. I created a situation where the broker profile gets corrupted by changing brokers and hitting an error condition (broker not available) simultaneously. After that, it starts semi randomly hooking up to which ever broker it can find. When you go to delete and rebuild the profiles, it crashes MC. So more "going LIVE" issues to work through. It is just a tool, an imperfect tool, so one has to learn how to use it gingerly until I switch to some robust and more professional. The second machine (development) machine was fine, so I could have switched over if I wanted to.

Live tomorrow to test the PL reporting code, which I was trying to do today. I will be starting and stopping live Algo as I test and debug.

  8. I've been spending most of my trading hours posting in a private Discord I was invited to. In fact, partially motivated by your posts a few weeks back. Generally, I'm trying to post less and spend less time on message boards.

    Are you serious?

I've been posting hundreds of live calls and predictions in this thread over the years well in advance and even sharing proprietary research. The latest one on Sunday. Scat posts yesterday's chart with some lines drawn on it.

I even started teaching you, but you weren't interested as you only had 30 minutes per day to trade. And now you're spending your time attacking me. Says a lot about you and your character (or lack of it) to be honest.

And this is why I haven't been posting much here lately. I could say my current position, what I'm looking for overnight and for tomorrows RTH session and the rest of the week, but why bother...

Discord, you say? I asked about why this thread isn't on Discord a few days ago...

Correction: I didn't ask why, I asked if folks have considered it. The why was answered shortly thereafter. :D

Its not my intention to not let him have his day, but I think for the benefit of anyone following along, and anyone trying to improve their trading, the mark of success isn't based on just one day.

If we only take the charts that he shows and the PnL screenshots that he posts, we would assume that its possible to have a very high win rate if we just wait for the right setup and have the balls to hold. But this isn't the reality of the situation. There are several times where he posts multiple stopouts and re-entries, but we really have no idea how often they occur. In fact, if you really do a fairly thorough analysis on the way he posts, its clear that he favors posting only when things are going well. There are multiple days where there are no posts, so are we to conclude that its a losing day or simply a day off?

Take today as an example. The first hint of him being short is at 5:30ET where he posts that there is a good shot of ES hitting 5580 or lower, but no idea if he is in a trade. At 9:51, we have a clear indication that he is short because he said he will be happy with 5590. But when he posts the chart to show how far into profit he is, we see that his entry is at 5659.50, which could only have happened around 4:20ET. So there is at least an hour of it going favourably before his first post, and multiple hours before we even know he is in a trade.

The icing on the cake is that he mentioned he was short earlier in the session, but we have no idea what happened to that trade. Perhaps that was a stop out for a tiny loss because he does have a good habit of keeping losses small and trying multiple times.

So guys, my whole point is that in order to get a 100 point winner, you have to wait weeks for the market to give it to you, and you have to take multiple stabs at it, and hopefully all the failed attempts don't add up to more than the eventual big winner.

I don't doubt anything that LF posts, but what I'm harping on is that its only a small picture of what is actually being done. This isn't transparency to me. I know LF is a good guy, and after 10 years of hard work he deserves all of these huge wins, but the inability to show every loss in the same detail as the winners, and the over-exuberence on good days while being quiet on bad days, is not representative of what I think he is trying to show.
